Product Description
Do you love coffee, but worry about the caffeine? Anthony’s Instant Chicory Root is a caffeine free alternative to coffee, made from the roots of the chicory plant. These roots are roasted and ground into a fine powder, perfect for an instant, coffee-like drink!
Chicory Root has a deep history dating back to the 1800’s when France used it as a coffee substitute and extender during a shortage. It was even said to be cultivated by ancient Egyptians! This flowering plant found mostly in France, hosts a woody, nutty flavor and is a traditional favorite of many New Orleans natives.
Anthony’s Instant Chicory Root is Gluten Free, Caffeine Free, and Non-GMO, with no other additives.
Directions: Place 3 teaspoons of Chicory into a cup, add 8oz of hot water or milk and stir. May be enjoyed hot or cold, as well as mixed with coffee.
