Sorghum, also known as jowar, is an ancient grain native to Africa and a popular staple in India. This cereal grain grows tall like corn and is available in many different varieties and colors.
Sorghum Flour is made by simply grinding the whole grains into a fine powder. Its light color and neutral flavor makes it a great alternative to wheat flour. Keep in mind when substituting that Sorghum Flour lacks the gluten found in wheat flour, which helps with binding, texture and rise of baked goods.
