Product Description
From the Mountains of Peru we present Maca root, or botanical name Lepidium meyenii - it has been used by the indigenous to that region due to it's claimed health benefits like improving skin complexion, increasing energy, and being rich in vitamins. Our Anthony’s Organic Red Maca Root powder is a nutritional powerhouse as well as being non-gelatinized, raw, and non-gmo. This Maca root powder is sourced from the red to purple Maca roots, which account for 25% of the annual harvest and give a mild sweet, malty flavor. If a red beet and purple cabbage gave birth, Red Maca Root would be the baby, and supply a larger range of antioxidants and mineral than both.
Though there are no serious known side effects of Maca, like any other supplement, it should not be taken in large amounts.
Our USDA Organic Non-Gelatinized Maca Root Powder is certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) and batch tested and verified gluten free.
