In a land far, farro way, an ancient savory grain called Farro was enjoyed by early human civilizations. Farro is a wheat grain with a nutty earthiness and satisfying chew. Our Farro is pearled, which means it has no husk and the bran has been removed, allowing for less cooking time.
Farro easily absorbs flavors of herbs and stocks, making it a great alternative to other grains such as rice, buckwheat, quinoa and barley. Its toasty flavor pairs perfectly with produce like squash, apples and kale, as well as herbs such as sage, rosemary and thyme. Toss it into salads, add it to breakfast bowls, soups, risottos and more!
