Brown Mustard Seed, botanical name Brassica juncea, is common to India, China and Africa. These seeds are smaller, hotter and more pungent in flavor than yellow mustard seeds.
With a flavor reminiscent of horseradish, they can be used in a variety of food applications from brining, pickling, making homemade curries, rubs and spice blends, flavoring salad dressings and more!
