Ingredients
Ingredients for the salad: • 1 heart of romaine lettuce • 3 Persian cucumbers, cut in half and sliced into half moons • 6 small Roma tomatoes, chopped • 6 green onions, chopped • 7 radishes, sliced • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped • Big handful of mint, chopped • Small bunch parsley, chopped • 1 tsp Anthony’s Goods Sumac • 2 loaves pita bread, toasted until crunchy Ingredients for the dressing: • 3 tbsp olive oil • 2 tbsp lemon juice • 1 large clove garlic, pressed • 1 tsp Anthony’s Goods Sumac • ½ tsp dried mint • ½ tsp salt
Instructions
The star of this crunchy and refreshing salad is sumac. Make sure not to skip it if you want an authentic, mouth-watering fattoush. 1. Chop the vegetables and herbs and add them to a large bowl with the sumac. 2. Toast the pita bread in a toaster oven until golden-brown and crunchy. 3. Meanwhile, whisk the dressing ingredients in a small bowl. Add it to the salad and toss. 4. Break the toasted pita bread into bite-size pieces and sprinkle them on top of the salad right before serving.
