caffeine? Anthony's Instant Chicory Root is a
caffeine free alternative to coffee, made from the
roots of the chicory plant. These roots are
roasted and ground into a fine powder, perfect
for an instant, coffee-like drink!
Chicory Root has a deep history dating back
to the 1800's when France used it as a coffee
substitute and extender during a shortage.
It was even said to be cultivated by ancient
Egyptians! This flowering plant found mostly in
France, hosts a woody, nutty flavor and is a
traditional favorite of many New Orleans natives.
Anthony's Instant Chicory Root is Gluten Free,
Caffeine Free, and Non-GMO, with no
other additives.
Directions: Place 3 teaspoons of Chicory into
a cup, add 8oz of hot water or milk and stir.
May be enjoyed hot or cold, as well as mixed
with coffee.
