Product Description
Carob pods, also known as locust bean, are the fruit harvested from a tree native to the Mediterranean. These pods contain a sweet edible pulp that is dried, roasted and ground into a powder.
Carob Powder is often used as a cocoa powder alternative, but without the caffeine or theobromine content. With a natural sweetness, carob helps reduce the amount of sugar needed in recipes. While Carob might be substituted for Cocoa, the two are not even related! Although they are similar in color and texture, each has their own unique taste. Carob’s rich flavor can be enjoyed in “chocolate”, milkshakes, baked goods, smoothies & more!
