Product Description
Apricots, scientific name Prunus armeniaca, were originally cultivated in Armenia. In fact, Apricot seeds were discovered during archaeological excavations at Armenia’s Temple of Garni, built during the 1st century!
Their sweetness, tartness, and tastiness made dried Apricots a huge hit on the silk road centuries ago. From the silk road, into our bags and now onto your kitchen shelf, they are quite the delicious travelers! Our Apricots are sun-dried and hand pitted, easy for you to snack on right out of the bag! Did you know you can eat the Apricot kernel too? You won’t find any in our bag, but give it a try one day.
Till you find some fresh Apricots…sometime in spring and mid-summer, mix in our always-in-season Dried Apricots into trail mixes, salads, jams, baked goods, marinades, or simply by itself.
Anthony’s Dried Apricots are Gluten Free, Sun-Dried, Non-GMO, and Vegan with no added sugars or artificial coloring.
